2 years back i tried to apply for Paypal Mastercard and that time they countered me with smart connect account and gave a limit of 500. Over the time the limit grew to 4100. Yesterday got a letter in mail that my account had been upgraded to Paypal extras mastercard. The card gives 3x points in gas and can accumulate 50K points in a year. Not a bad card at all. It also gives 2x points for any paypal purchases, which is a good perk too since i use paypal a lot for online purchases. Looking forward to get the card. Have come a long way in credit repair journey. It will be complete in 2019 when my credit reports completely become free from negative accounts.
Congratulations!
Congrats!
Congrats
Congrats! Just keep in mind PayPal MC points are worth about .83 cents per point.. so 3x back isnt 3% cashback.
Yes read about it. Still better than Paypal SC.

Agree 100%
I got the same letter as the OP today, and I have a similar history with Smart Connect: started with a low limit around $500, now up to $3800. This will at least get me to start using the account again as Smart Connect was kind of pointless (no points or rewards--were there even any financing deals?)
I was going to call and see if I could be considered for the ebay card instead but it looks like they're basically the same card? You get 2x points for ebay/Paypal purchases with either one.

will your credit line be the same or will they increase it when offered the upgraded account? Is there a way to find out? I received the letter today, it says you can call and reject the change but before doing that it would be nice to know if you are going to get the same limit or an increase? Anyone know about this????
Thanks in advice
Got that letter few days ago too. I've had SC sine 2007, limit began 600 it's currently at 6k. I'm elated to say the least.
