Paypal Synchrony reported early?

I've had my account for a few years now, my statement has always been due on the 15th. I usually use 80-90% of the card and pay it off on the 15th. In the past they have always reported a week late usually around the 23rd-25th, great because at that time my balance was 0. This month they reported it today the 13th with a 92% utilization rate. Hurt my score about 14 points. Anything I can do about this? I guess I have to start paying off my balance before its due.

Re: Paypal Synchrony reported early?

The good thing is that that kind of ding won't last very long since balances are reported every month. The occasional hiccup won't matter in the long term unless you were mortgage shopping that very month or something. I'd say just let it go and up your game in the future. If you were really OCD you can make more payments so that at any one time your util is not over 30% or something like that so that you are not caught out by future changes in reporting date.
