So to get my pp master card over 10k Cli I need to call ?
is this the number in back of the card ?
@longtimelurker wrote:Don't think it is CL related. I just checked, and my PPMC is just a plain MC, with a $25K CL, and I didn't receive the upgrade. On the other hand, since I got a 3% card (USAlliance), this card hasn't seen much use, just using it for foreign transactions, under $100 per month so maybe usage is a factor.
Upon calling in for an APR reduction (which they would only give me 6mo at a lower rate from 23.99 to 19.99) I did ask about the world mastercard thing. It sounds like from what they know, it will be select individuals based on usage and limit. Not sure how everyone else uses theirs, but this card is one of my main cards due to the limit and 2% CB.
Needed the APR reduction, as I'm going to be making a big purchase here and will need a few months to pay it off, so that is a plus.

Do you other cards with lower APRs? If you are carrying a balance, sometimes better to go with lower rewards but better APR

I still have 9mo on my 2nd disco with no apr and 5mo left on my BCP, I've contemplated using BCP for the mere fact of purchase protection and extended warranty benefits.
Working with a CU for my first home right now, so I plan on Applying for a card through them once I close on a house, as I know they have better APRs.

Side note, you may ask why I'm hesitant on using those cards instead. I have only PPMC reporting a balance every month currently, at roughly $450/$10,000. It was the highest balance card I had, but paid down the other 3 to increase my approval amount on a house by $30,000.
Don't want to get setup using another card and miraculously find a house. 😥 a $40 hit would take $10,000 off my approved amount if I miraculously found a house in the coming months.
I don't think I've seen any World Mastercard verbiage in the e-mails I received.
(20K limit, from 10K, account opened 2+ years ago)
I got the upgrade notification, but coincidentally or not, it was within 36 hours of confirming a small fraudulent use of my card, so they were already sending me a new card. Not sure if that goosed them into the change in my case. $10K limit, steady use.
I got mine in the mail yesterday!! It's a nice mat finish and there's no signature to fill out. I like cards that don't require me to sign it. Looks snappy being a world mastercard.
Well I guess once again I don't fall into the "norm" of things. I have had my card maxed out since I got it 2.5 years ago at $2000. In May I paid it off and now thanks to my husband applying to med schools in September it is maxed out again. I have never gotten an increase and Synchrony has every reason with my credit behavior recently to shut down all 4 of my accounts. Yet, instead of booting me they are upgrading my card to the World Mastercard. If you havent received an email yet....keep your eyes peeled.
Just wait till it gets upgraded to World Elite! It may even give out better BT offers! Oh joy! Can't wait! 😆
