Well, it's obviously better they fixed it than not, but I don't think Penfed deserves any points/praise for fixing. Clearly their bad error! They should attempt something proactive at least,e.g. contact those that apparently missed a payment with no previous history of doing so. Hopefully they don't intend to keep quiet to collect late fees and interest.....
Inetresting I just checked DH's accounts, I made a payment on 2/9/21 and it was taken out of our external checking account. However there is NO record of this payment online grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I sent a message to them to see what in the heck is going on. Watch your accounts obviously they are having some major issues.

Good point. I only set my next payment using the new screen ( full PC browser, no app ) but it has not reached the date scheduled for that payment yet. I shall watch closely to see that the funds are taken and posted to the account, using the new payment tech, and check back now that a few days have passed since the CSR "payment".
eta The CSR payment for $750 was posted Thursday. All is well.
I downloaded the app and made a payment for the $249 I charged on my way to the $500 to get $50 offer.
Another $750 should pay toward the end of the month if the PC payment scheduling works.
They claim we never made payment , well my bank says otherwise 🤔 They claimed the only payment was for his gold card days before , yet 2 ACHs are from PF on the dates which correspond with when I paid .
So now I sent a screenshot of bank payment waiting for their response .
