Playstation Visa nerf 5x points?

I was just looking at the website stating there is a new Playstation Visa and it gives 5x on Sony purchases, 5x on Playstation purchases, 3x on cellphone bill, and 1x everything else.

If you ask me, it makes this card useless if that's the case. 5x points is useless as I can get 5% back from amazon visa sig.

Does anyone know anything more about this?

Edit: I currently have the card and am not sure if existing card holders are nerfed.

Have you received any emails about your card?   When Sony Card was nerfed, we got an email.   Personally, I keep hoping the whoe program would go away, so I could convert the card to something else in the Cap 1 lineup.

I haven't received anything yet. I checked the website and it's still saying 10x points for PlayStation Network purchases. I'm hoping we can be grandfathered in.
