Please help ,need advice!!

I just lost my job
i live paycheck to paycheck in NYC
my rent is due right now and it's 900.00 dollars

i don't have any money except like 50.00
i have one credit card and it's max out except like 30.00 credit

it has a credit line of 2,000 and my balance is 1,960
if i do a cash advance for 1,000 which will take me way over my limit
how much will it hurt my score and will the bank even approve the transaction

it's my wamu platinum visa
and yes i'll pay the bank back asap when i get another job

You're not going to have luck getting that transaction approved.   Is there an organization that can help you with an emergency rent payment?  I'm not talking payday loans here, but a service organization like Salvation Army?

Yeah, I don't think the bank will approve it, especially considering the current climate. I would seriously gather what you've got that you can live without and ebay it quickly. That's how I've gotten myself out of a couple of jams. Sorry I don't have a better option for you.

I'm afraid your stuck on the credit front. Nothing is going to be authorized there.

Family only - ask everyone. Do not go to friends unless they clearly understand they might never be repaid whatever your good intentions are.

Unemployment and quickly - like tomorrow. If not that then public assistance. NYC can be tough - there are always 1000 people with a worse story that you. You can always get something to eat - and eat you must do. The eviction process in NYC is glacially slow. So assuming you live in your own place you won't need to worry about that for months. If you live with roommates they aren't going to be very happy. Try to hold them off for a while.

NYC is the best place in the universe to hustle. Time to start. It is 7:52 PM. I hate to say it, but get out in the street and hustle. DO NOT SIT AROUND WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN! YOU ARE IN A 24 HR. CITY AND YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO GO AT IT 24 HRs/DAY UNTIL YOU GET HOOKED UP.

YOU CAN DO IT!!
