I would like to maximize my credit score in the next 2-3 months. What would you suggest given this info. I am also curious if 20% util is a lot better than 30% or where that bucket ends. Or is one card at 40-45% better than 3 at 15% sort of thing as well. Thank you. Curious what kind of a bump I could expect by spreading the balance around.

card at 0/1000

card at 0/1000

card at 0/750

1 card 0/34000

1 card 0/14000

1 card 2800/4300

1 card 12300/19000

1 card 4200/6000

1 card 0/3300

I could spend up to $3000 to pay something down, but would also like an example where I keep the cash instead.

Which banks and cards are these? That makes a difference as to which allow balance transfers, and the fee involved, cash cost to do so.

What are your FICO 8 scores now?

For what purpose do you anticipate needing to "optimize" FICO 8?

High Bal Jan 2009 $116k on $146k limits 80% Util.
Oct 2014 $46k on $127k 36% util EQ 722 TU 727 EX 727
April 2018 $18k on $344k 5% util EQ 806 TU 810 EX 812
Jan 2019 $7.6k on $360k EQ 832 TU 839 EX 831
March 2021 $33k on $312k EQ 796 TU 798 EX 801

The only reason I avoided moving all the debt to your biggest cards is because I was theoretically trying to avoid any loss in points (only gain). Also hoping there’s no AA / balance chasing. Good luck!
