Don't know how much I'd trust the Discover site. Just for the heck of it I just went and tried it, and it came back with no offers. So I clicked the link that said reason for denial. It stated something to the effect that they were unable to locate me. I have several national bank cards that I know report to all 3 bureaus. I should be pretty easy to find and if they can't do that, how good is the rest of their info?

With Discover, I think that the preapprovals come up IF they have already softed you. If they haven't, they can't locate you in their system. Since all you enter are your first and last name and last four of your social, I don't see how they could do a real-time soft inquiry. Wouldn't swear to it, though.
I get the same result.

I don't think so, I just got approved for a Household Bank Platinum.
If you've opted out or don't meet their minimum requirements, they wont have any offers for you.
