Price protection after Citi

So Citi is dropping price protection on 9/22. What cards are continuing to offer it? Understandably, some have major restrictions on the benefit.

- According to an upgrade offer I got from Chase two days ago, the $75 Hyatt card still includes it but the $95 card doesn't.

- I'm not sure what's going on with Barlcays and MC. I just started a dummy claim for a hypothetical 7/20 purchase on Aviator Red and the MC website let me proceed through a few screens...even though the benefit was supposedly discontinued weeks ago. Of course, they might not honor a claim even if they have the website to receive one.

This Chase page says the IHG cards do, too.

Re: Price protection after Citi

Mastercard you get like two price protection claims within 60 days of purchase within 12 month period. I've used this a couple times on REI store Mastercard. Not the best but better than nothing.

Citi doesn't support Mastercard benefits.

There were several reports that Mastercard would be discontinuing price protection along with extended warranty as part of the recent benefit overhaul, but I don't think I've seen official confirmation of the nerfs.

True, Citi has generally determined and arranged benefits on its own, independent of what V/MC offer. Citi WEMC cards, for example, don't use the WEMC concierge.

FWIW, PayPal took it off their listing for the PayPal Cashback. It used to be prominently displayed on the page that you have 60 day price protection so I do believe that Mastercard probably dropped it. https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/credit-card/2-percent-cash-back-mastercard
