I just picked-up DW from work and shared the good news. She knew I was going to do this..now she thinks black pearls will soon be around her rather thin neck. I will get her something nice, I always try to.

Re: Question - Discover Card - Whats your limit

Congrats on your card Fused, that is an awesom starting CL and great APR once the intro APR is over.

I also wanted to comment on the instant approval online.  When i applied for my Discover More online, i was instantly approved, this was in Sept 07.  I just wanted to let others know that they still do instantly approve.

I got 5K initial CL with 0% APR for first year then going to 10.9% afterwards.  They also told me no CLI upon application but would do an auto most likely on the 6 month, pending a good history with them.

BTW the reps told me that they usually dont give instants online becasue they pull one and look at the rest.  I thought surely yours would be instant but now I know why they would need to look at the rest.

Re: Question - Discover Card - Whats your limit

Discover did yank EX as I expected but something strange occurred today. I got an alert on creditsecure for a new inq on TU. When I checked TU there was no hard inq, must have been an alert for a softy. Weird!

Re: Question - Discover Card - Whats your limit

Did I read somewhere else that they do one hard plus softs on the others? could be dreaming; there've been a lot of posts recently on the high-rent cards. Smiley Tongue

Re: Question - Discover Card - Whats your limit

Discover told me they review all 3 with 1 hard and two softs. EX is at it again, they report my old address as current and this is one reason why I got the 30-day message. Looks like on Monday it's back on the phone with EX and some fun time pulverizing some CSRs and their managers. This will be smashing fun!

My father once said, never underestimate the stupidity of the general populace, I now apply this same motto to EX.

Re: Question - Discover Card - Whats your limit

fused- I don't understand... do you revolve a balance? if you don't than this card is completely useless:

Q: What do you mean by "a full month of interest back"?
A: The interest used to calculate your Pay-On-Time Bonus is the combined Periodic Finance Charges on purchases, balance transfers, and cash advances shown on your billing statement in the Finance Charge Summary section. The amount of these Periodic Finance Charges will depend on your current balance, Annual Percentage Rates and payments and will not include any Transaction Fee Finance Charges.
