Situation: Amex platinum since 02 as primary card holder....
Wife added me to her Amex BCP for grocery and gas. MSD on the card is 02 but my question is how will this report to credit report.
My hope is 2002 but my fear is 2014
Thanks in advance
Should BD to your MSD.

your wifes date does not matter. It is based on when you started your relationship with amex. you are good to go

Unfortunately, what you fear is accurate. ACMs credit reports are not backdated; only cc's in which you are the primary cardholder.
If you are a primary cardholder, your CR's will be backdated as well. Amex recently changed their policy to exclude the CR backdating for ACMs - when you become a primary, your CR's would be backdated for YOUR new cc.
*personal cards - business cards it's a YMMV
Thanks Lexie even if the AU Amex has msd 02 on the card? I got the card. And has benn backdated.

Yes, your MSD was locked in when you became an AU. They will carry that year over on your online profile and all accounts in which you are a primary. Cc's in which you are the ACM will have the MSD printed on the card but your CR's will not be backdated.
