I just got an invite to Discover IT in the mail, so I responded and got approved today but they didn't tell me what kind of limit they are giving me. Does anyone know what limit I should expect with this card? Does anyone know anything more about this card? Thanks
It varies wildly.
Someone mentioned the other day that if you have mostly cards with low limits, they'll give you a high starting CL. As was the case with me; they gave me 8k. OTH, if you have cards with decent limits already, they'll start you off on the low end.
If you were asked to set up an account and happened to notice the alert for "when balance reaches XXXX", that's 90% of your CL.
The offer is 0% interest for 14months and 10%-20% depending on creditworthyness. I tried to go on the online account but its not setup yet. I just wanted to get a roundabout # of what to expect. It showed i have to wait 4-5 days for everything to be setup. U guys know how it is when u don't know the answer to something like this.

Congrats! So far it seems like a great card with amazing customer service. When I got my card, I was able to log into the online account immediately and see everything. They also sent the card with expedited shipping. If you can't log on the website, call them and they will match your account to your phone number and you can get the info that way.
Call 'em up and ask what your CLI is. Why wait?
I think even if you call now they'll give out automated info on the card..
(it's 11:30 pm where I'm at)
Try the application status line Here; if not then just give them a ring

This remind me on last year i applied for Discover More approved for $5500 limit. They pulled EQ and i only have one credit card (BBRZMC) with a limit of $500. That time i was at work and i have to close my mouth with hands and said shut up. Never forget that moment.
Ok so i called like u guys told me today and i have a starting limit of $2000. When I get the card I will try what u said and tell them that I want to do some balance transfers to see if they will make it higher. I'm happy with a 2k limit to start. Also my first card with zero foreign fees.
