Question about increasing CL at activation

Whenever I've activated a new CC I've never spoken with a live person. It has all been automated. Do you stay on the line and aske to speak with someone?  Do you hang up and get on to the website for the CC and submit a CL increase?

Some people love the "luv button."  I prefer to speak to a person.  Seems it's easier to negotiate with a human being than a website.
