Thanks for the link.  Guess an in branch application is the way to go.

Good luck, Irish.

Thanks.  However I did edit my reply after I checked for branches near me.  None close

Do they at least have US Banks in your state? I've seen a couple reports of checking/savings denials because the person was "out of market".

If you can open one, a lot of people seem to be able to open the bank account, then apply for the card. They said it'll get auto denied w/o a HP, but then you can call and they'll submit it for manual review. Apparently there's some disconnect so the system doesn't recognize you as an existing customer for up to 35 days. (Seems really odd)

I just opened my accounts last week, so I'm going to wait a little bit before deciding to app. Sounds like a really good chance it'll be a TU pull, and I want to wait for this last stupid late pay to drop in the next month or 2 as my score should jump a good 20-30 points. The approvals people have been posting are really high for US Bank, so I have some hope for not ending up with a toy limit Smiley Happy

Good luck, let us know if you decide to go for it!

As far as I can tell none in the entire state of Maryland or anywhere close.  I live in a suburb of Washington, DC and it looks like the closest branches are near Pittsburgh, PA.

What are you doing working this board when you can be down on 1600 Pennsylvania "kissing babies and slapping backs"? You are running in the fast crowd. You need the US Bank Altitude Reserve Visa Infinite Card so you can flash it occasionally Smiley Wink Also, remember the book "Dress for Success" as you will be judged by the company you keep.

That sucks! Do you have a Plan B?

Not really.  I guess I could open a checking account and hope the card offer will still be there after 35 days

You could always apply and then recon. Lots of people have avoided the wait that way, it appears.

Chase Sapphire Preferred ($24.005k), Fidelity VS ($17K), United MileagePlus Explorer ($17K), Chase Freedom ($15K), Chase Freedom Unlimited ($15K), AmEx Blue Cash ($12.5K), IHG One Rewards Premier ($6.1K), US Bank Cash+ ($5K)
