[RANT] PenFed Payment UI

Please tell me I'm not the only one who absolutely cannot stand the PenFed app update that completely made credit card payments tedious and irritating. having to reselect your "from" account, delete 0.00s to properly format the payment amount. 

I don't know who's in charge of app development but they need to spend a couple weeks over at American Express' app department. Lastly, I don't know if this is the best spot for this. Rant over thanks.

I am new at Pen Fed, so I have only made a dozen payments on the current platform. I never have seen or used the prior one. I do find it kind of long and not necessary they could easily leave out a few steps but overall  I love my two new cards so you take the good with the bad I guess and in the end I still love the cards.

What I can't stand about Penfed is their terrible app layout and that it takes exactly 5 business days each time I make a deposit into my savings account to reflect in my account. (7 days since I deposit money every Friday). I said yea....can't see myself ever applying for one of their credit cards. Easiest app I ever made payments to is Capital One.

I liked the former method of being able to transfer funds for CC payments, and although this one takes a few extra steps, it works just fine for me. As long as it reflects on my account, I'm good.

Agree not sure why they changed it as seems like a step back to me personally, but whatever it still works

@Gregory1776 Yes, to add they no longer allow you to select the date of when you want the auto-payment to pull. I like paying my CC's three business days prior to the due date. Now, I'm stuck paying on the due date with no other option...

Side Note: I called NFCU recently and they will begin allowing members to auto-pay their statement balance with an external checking account by the end of 2021, WOOT.

Thats another thing I do not like. I like making my payment on the weekends and scheduling for the week.

I don't use my Penfed card but looking now it has the same feature as one of my other accounts (USAllianace I think) that i HATE, no option for "Current Balance" so you have to select Other and then enter the figure.   I guess most people outside forums like this don't pay multiple times, so statement balance is good enough, but not a huge deal to code!
