Re: Ready to app for the BCE?!

You should go ahead and apply for the zync and just be careful not to use it beyond your ability to repay, apps for revolvers can most likely wait since you'll be backdated to 2012

Re: Ready to app for the BCE?!

If you app for BCE and are denied, you will not be able to get approval for zync, you'll have to wait. Some users have used a two browser method to get both an amex charge card and a revolver with one HP. Not sure how this works, and also everyone may have a different experience.

BCE and BCP are harder to get than zync or green. I would say you are likely a good candidate for BCE. If a charge card doesn't interest you at all, apply for BCE only

Don't be scared inquiries won't hurt you in a year. Plus Walmart will most likely pull tu. chase is all over the place. Apply while you have income. In a year, you will be student with limited income which will make it harder to get any cards.

Re: Ready to app for the BCE?!

How bad do you want the BCE? Sounds similar to what I went through. I was worried about getting denied for BCE so I did the way many recommended. App for the Zync, sounds like you are almost guaranteed approval for that. Then app for the BCE the same day. It should only show 1 EX pull. You really wouldnt have anything to lose at that point. If approved, awesome! Only cost you 1 EX pull. If denied use that Zync for 6 months and try again... but from what you have posted I'm pretty positive you will be approved for a BCE. Good luck!

Re: Ready to app for the BCE?!

From 1-10? I'd say...7?! And im going try and call customer service and see what they say about that 1 EX pull just in case. I just don't want to apply for the zync since I would probably just cancel it to be honest. I just want 2 more cards and from there i'd let them just all grow

Crashem-are you suggesting I do all 3?! Smiley Surprised i'm just scared that many inquiries might affect my student loans..

Re: Ready to app for the BCE?!

Don't call Amex about one inquiry. They have no idea. It's more of a backdoor thing. You are making this more painful than it needs to be. As for student loans, why would it affect that? App for zync if getting in with Amex important to you. If you just want bce, then app for it directly and forget the zync.
