Reopening closed Amex account

How long can you have a closed Amex account reopened? And how do you go about doing it?

A few months back I closed Amex. but now with no backdating, I'm thinking of resurrecting it. How long do I have to decide on it?

sorry....I am not sure if they even consider re-opening closed accounts? Why not start a chat and see what Amex has to say?

I'm almost sure I might go the EO route. just wanted to confirm others' experiences.

Experiences are YMMV anyway.  Contact them and make the request.  If a CSR can't or won't then try escalating.

There's a 99% chance they won't reopen the account, they will "encourage" you to apply.

I put in a request to reactivate my blue delta amex and got the 7-10 day message. I did it through chat. I’m guessing my request was denied. If so not a big deal.
