Anybody ever had any luck with this? The cards I'm referencing in particular are First Premier, CorTrust, & Orchard.
Also, I will be doing this for my girlfriend's card as well, which is with First Financial (don't really know if that is subprime or not).

Edit: I should mention that I have been with each of these companies for at least 2 years.

bit of an update: i did get cortrust to lower my APR for 6 months (that's when my anniversary will be up).
guess it can happen!
