Rewards

Hi,
I'm new here. My credit score isn't horrible but it's not great either, the last time I checked (a few months ago), I believe it was in the high 600s - low 700s. I have two major credit cards (both Visa) and an Amex under my mother's name. I also have two store cards, Old Navy and Gap. I'm looking  to get another credit card, but I'm only interested in rewards cards. My capital one visa has no rewards and a pretty high APR, I just got them to lower a few months back. But I don't like to use it because I really don't get anything back from it. My other visa, which is from Commerce bank has a great rewards package, 3 points for every dollar you spend. I shouldn't have too much trouble getting a card, since I alway PIF and I've never gone over or been late with a payment.

I've looked at Discover and Mastercard, but I'm not sure what to get. Does anyone have any suggestions.

I tried to get my own Amex last year and was declined, so I don't think I could get an Amex on my own yet.

Re: Rewards

What Amex did you apply for?  And have you looked in to your actual FICO scores yet, they would be a big help in suggesting what you should try for.

Re: Rewards

I believe I applied for Amex blue last year. My scores right now are 730 and 733 respectively. I looked at Transunion and Experian. I haven't looked at Equifax yet.

I was considering applying for Chase's Freedom Mastercard.
I know Amex is difficult to get and I already have a few Visa cards. So it's either Mastercard or Discover. The Chase mastercard offers 3 points for every dollar you spend, one of my visa cards has the exact same plan.

Like I said I want a good rewards program, I don't plan on putting much on the card aside from gas and a few other purchases.
