Ritz Carlton/Marriott Points to Miles Question

So I just transferred some point to my VA airline account for miles to use, and they said it would take 1-2 WEEKS. I've done this before and I very vaguely remember them telling me this last time as well, but I remember getting the point by the next day. Is this a new protocol and does it really take 1-2 weeks, trying to buy flights for a wedding today

It should not take long, I did a transfer to American Air last year. Expecting it today might be a bit aggressive.
