If they keep the dining multiplier then it'll make a strong contender against the platinum card.
Has anyone seen if they will be raising the AU fee? It's only $75 to add my wife at the moment which is a bargain compared to Amex at $175.

Me too! If they turn that into the "foodie card" using the amex template (because notice no extra points for food anymore on Reserve 2.0) it kills that as a travel card.....credits for doordash, dunkin and jack in the box but only $7.99 monthly......ugggghhhhhhhhhh
Oh wow. I totally missed they removed the 3x dining as well, which is on almost all the other non-affiliated personal Chase cards. Wow, just wow. 🤯According to an update on the DofC website, dining will still be 3x. Dining must not have been mentioned in the first post because that was only a list of the upcoming changes.
I guess these issuers know what they're doing, but it still never makes sense to me. When they remove the multipliers I never end up spending on the card aside from the pre-paid coupon categories which doesn't add up to much annually. My Amex Plat hardly gets any additional spend, since the only multipliers are through the travel portal which has too many downsides IMO (as does Chase's). Sometimes I use it when there are good hotel deals on there, but they usually only exist for 5 star hotels which I only stay in sometimes - 2/3rd's of the time I just use a hotel decent enough that a murder in the hallway doesn't happen more than once a year.
These cards end up becoming little more than lounge keycards with required pre-spend on partnerships. It's almost like when you want a table in the club, you have to agree to spend a certain amount on drinks. "You can have access to our lounge, but you must feed yourself DoorDash 24x per year and abandon Uber and Spotify for Lyft and Apple Music." I really only carry the Amex Plat around since I know I'll need it at the airport. It may as well not even be a credit card at all.
I guess that's why Amex pushes its Gold and Blue cards on you with generous bonuses even when you have Plat, since they know that if you don't have them all of the bonus category spend and catch-all will go to Chase or Cap One.
Just got a change in terms yesterday in the mail - effective after JULY 2026 the AF goes up to $695

Could you please provide a screenshot of the updated terms and conditions.
Looks like a business version of CSR may be on the way too.

Man I hope it isn't another coupon book with the increased AF. Perceived value vs. real value for most. More reasons I love vanilla CSP. Primary rental car insurance, $50 hotel credit per year, transfer to hyatt(best value) all at sub $100 AF.
looks at the changes they made to the United Cards, that is all you have to look at to see where its going to go.

Agreed.

IDK CC, I like the increase for me anyway, I stay at edit properties $500, I have Apple Music $131.88 and a $300 travel credit.
Without CSR I'm spending more than $931.88 annually. Lol, now I can get Apple TV for free, just for the **bleep** Apple TV games....
