Background checks? No. They sp EQ or EX and of course run chexsystems

it seem like i have to deposit around 101$ to open the account. ( i open the share and checking account). Is there minimun balance to keep the checking open? thinking to withdrawal money once the account is settle.

i just applied the emv credit card from them.

called and talked the lady, she said i needed to wait for the documents to sign and email them back.

Good question. I would email or call CS and ask.

I recently joined SDFCU and plan on keeping funds in my accounts. I'm thinking this will be a) good for building a relationship and b) make it easy to pay on my CC if and when I get one with them....(in the garden 'till 2014)

I have never deposited funds at SDFCU.   In fact, they put $1 in my share shavings for me when I joined.  The card was kind of difficult for me to get though.  I think my EX FICO was around 692 when I got it, but they declined me at first.   I had to fax a letter to be reconsidered.   That worked.   It is also kind of an elongated process to request a CLI, which I have recently found out (still processing).

a little update

i talked to the lending department, they first said i needed to proide my pay stub for records. i told her im currently on business travelling and wont be at usa for at least 4 months ( i have all my pay stub at usa home locked). 

she then talked to the underwritier and told me that i can applied the card without the pay stub. but only if im ok to lower the limit let say 5k (initial request for 15k).

i let u guys know more update later on.
