SPG Cardholders get 2,500 points for adding AU

Not sure if its been mentioned here but if you have a SPG card, you can receive 2,500 for adding an authorized user to your account.

So previosuly there was a deal for delta gold adding AU.  And you werent required to enter in the social security number. The card came but then they were asking for the SSN to activate it. I was wanting to add someone as an AU but not have it show up on their reports.  Any ideas on how to circumvent this?
