Sam's CC (GEMB) CLI $5K

So, it seems that GEMB / Sam's Club is doing online CLI again. So, I decided to see if it was actually working or not. I got the enter your income screen which is farther than I have gotten in the past ~2 years. Put in the magic number and BAM! $5000 increase. Maybe I'll have to start making some calls to other CC's to see if they'll do soft increases as well.

Thanks! I was surprised because of the fact that the account hadn't moved up from the last $200 CLI back in 8/2010. I kept reading people getting CLI on here all the time and this particular account was lagging from everyone else's experiences here.

Maybe the credit market it thawing out a little bit? Maybe it was the AMEX TE Costco card application back in Dec?

I quit trying to figure it out after securing my mortgage though and just keep an occasional eye on things through the forums.

Congrats!! I can never get that button to work for me. It shows up but I have never gotten an increase that way.

I've seen posts in the past mentioning there's potential for upgrade to the Discover version at checkout. I'm not sure it will display the upgrade option online though. Yes, it works at both Sam's and Wal-Mart. Doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason though with GEMB most of the time.
