This is another step toward the resolution of the Chase / AMEX share of Marriott cards.
SPG Lux was pushed out to as many people as AMEX could get to take the $450 AF.
Regular SPG is parked, until the new no-AF Marriott is introduced. At that point the parked regular SPG will be ported over to Chase.
Why is the lower case o underlined in this Bonvoy name?
Regular 'o' was not pretentious enough.

Serious help needed for those who chose those names.
Yeah. Like new careers.

The Hilton Aspire is next up to go to a metal design. Any $400 - $550 AF card will need to be metal to be considered relevant.

Still use the plastic plats and gold. Metal cards are a PIA to get in and out of my wallet.

I have a question (probably a dumb one) about the announcement of new Marriott cards by AMEX. If you currently have one will they automatically send you the new one or wait until it expires and then send the new one? Thanks for any replies.
No one knows for sure except the card issuers but my guess is that because the look is changing so much that they will issue new cards when the changes are made. Even if they don’t, if you want the new design when available, all you have to do is request a replacement card. If you want to keep the current card, those days are numbered.
