@Shock wrote:This makes me wonder...they double pulled me (EX EQ) here in San Francisco on both my Amazon and Freedom. Mind you, my credit limits are much much better now than when I applied for the two. Is this their policy to double pull or will a better credit file only warrant one pull?
I'm also in the bay area and Chase double puled EX/EQ for my CSP when I apped last year, I had myFico EX 817/ EQ 802. I apped a few days later for the Freedom and Chase double pulled EX/TU, myFico TU 776 (one account randomly comes and goes). I apped for the Hyatt 2 weeks ago and Chase double pulled EX/EQ myFico EX 767 / EQ 755.
My highest CL at the time of CSP was $10K, approved for $10K. Freedom approved for $13K. Hyatt was just approved for $10K.
I had a bit of a history with Chase in the past, so that may or may not warrant double pulls... I have no idea. But my scores, low util, no baddies, good size CLs, didn't seem to make a difference and still cost me 2 HP per app w/Chase.
Hope ths helps
Im in Portland and Chase double pulled my TU and EX for my recent Freedom Card

Thanks for the info. Definitely helps. if a 800+ FICO can stll get double pulls, I assume it's their policy...puts them almost up there with Capital One triple pulls..
I think you have a really good chance of getting the card, I honestly thought I didn't stand one since I had so many INQs on my EX report but I got it. I hope it's only one pull for you, they just pulled EX for me and then used the same pull for my Marriott card the next week. I live in Austin, TX.

Im jealous of your Freedom limit....howd you get it so high?
The same pull for 2 different cards? Wowzers! Lol. Did you directly call recon for that? Lol! Might as well do the same and app for the Chase United Explorer at the same time!
I have never heard of the same pull for a second line of credit. The closest thing I've read is AMEX Charge to revolver

Yeah, I still cant believe it , that its 11k and I had 2 charge offs with Chase back in 2006 and never paid them....my TU was sitting at 782....with 3 paid mortgages in full....maybe the perfectly paid mortgages helped with other perfect closed accounts and a 92 k income.....still surprised me...before I apped, I asked the Chase csr if I get denied, if he could recon and at least match my 3500 Barclay cl.....I submitted and instant approval for 11k...The Chase CSR just started laughing when I told him I was approved for 11k....

.............
oh that is interesting...for me also Portland but double pull on EX and EQ. But constantly double pulls for anything even when score is >800 ...for me Chase is worse than Cap1 in terms of pulls and CLIs
Yeah I was just as surprised as you are! I think i was pretty lucky though, others said they did the same for them and others said they got a second pull so i guess ymmv. Vegas I'm also jealous of your signature freedom....
Edit: No call, I applied both times online

Lol One7..... I don't even know what to spend my Chase freedom on, my Barclay pays all my utilities.....I have 11k on my Freedom, and I am trying not to eat at restaurants too much to save as much as I can for a new house next year....houses in Portland Or are overpriced......I ll have to spend at least 425 k for something that's half decent....
Wow! That IS steep! I hope you get a great house good luck. I also use my Barclays for utilities and try my best to spread love to my other cards. OP what do you think you are going to do? Apply or wait a bit?
