Are there any other than cap1 and FP? My husband got the cap1 secured for $99 deposit, $200 CL, are there any other secured cards that have small deposits like that, that don't want the entire CL as a deposit?
Just off the top of my head I can think of that Matrix Discover card - it's a "hybrid" card where you'll either get fully unsecured or partially secured. You can find some of those cards here (not an affiliate link of any kind, just a link to the info):

As with anything, read the terms because these aren't "great" cards and will try to get fees at every turn...

NOOOO thank you! lol Those types of cards have annual fees, plus monthly "maitenance" fees. I'm just looking for something else like cap1 that offers lower deposits based on credit histories for people who don't quite qualify for unsecured, but are worthy enough to put down a smaller deposit for a higher limit. or maybe a card that is generous with giving unsecured cards with super lower limits to rebuilders. None of those shady cards!!
BofA has a $99 deposit for $500 CL?
Though I have no idea how to request it.

We'd like to get at least 2 cards reporting, heard that was better for your score. We're paying the deposit Friday to get the cap1. He just got a 54 point score increase and a collection aged off on march 30th, so I thought maybe he'd qualify for something a little better now, that's why I was asking if there were any others out there that did things like cap1. All the ones i'm finding require a deposit equal to the CL.

Our credit union has a secured for $250 deposit.
Thats not too bad, what kind on line is it they give you??
Keep in mind its only for a short period of time (1yr) you need these, the positive history he gains from it far outweighs the small deposit!
