I want a BCP, I've had a gold card for 4 billing periods running $1500+ through it and paying immediately when it cuts. I want an Amex revolver because within a year my cl should be at least over $10,000 even if they start me at the low amount of $2000. I have had two rebuilders for 2 years, perfect history, my scores are up to par, it's just a 6+ year old CO for $400 as my only blemish. Should I apply?
i say do it, if you spend a lot of money on groceries, gas and department stores. If you dont spend so much on groceries why not just app for the BCE?
The way I spend slightly puts BCP over BCE, I did the math. Plus if my situation changes, that 6% on groceries is crazy good. Not to mention I have an 80 mile commute to work, so the extra % on gas helps too.
It's a soft pull if I am declined right? So if I app now and am declined, I can try again in a few months, it's really a no brainier I think....someone stop me!
Yep, it would be a SP if you're denied, so go for it!
All indications I've seen is that existing Amex customers don't receive hard pulls from denials, you should go ahead and apply.
Wait till jan for max backdating. Otherwise app away now.
I say go for it.. I just applied for a BCE with a 678 with two COs and a few lates from 5+ years ago. I also had a gold card and run through the same amount and was approved. Plus its a soft pull if denied so it's totally worth it.
Does it matter if I app online or doi have to do it by phone to not get HP?
No, it does not matter.
