Is it better on my FICO if I have smaller amounts on different cards or have a larger amount on one or two cards?

^ ^ ^  Good advice from several members above.

Finances before FICO is definitely correct.  So the first priority when trying to pay down balances is not drowning in the interest and fees while you're trying to pay off the principal.   Having a single payment will also leave more room in your budget than multiple smaller minimum payments.

But having balances spread out on several cards with as-low-utilization as possible will help your FICO and may even help other lenders not be too alarmed about your debt to give you MORE BT offers.

So if you can do both, by all means do both!  But don't pay full interest on a card when you can BT to a 0% offer.
