Should I PC QS to Venture One?

I have two QS that were PC from other products and I was thinking about PC one of them to the no annul fee Venture One. I'll avoid Venture as I am a student and won't spend $3,000 in three months.

Edit: The purpose of this thread is to read the opinion of those who would oppose PC one of the duplicate QS to Venture One and to consider it before taking action. Since the Citi Double Cash already trumps QS at 2% cash back, I have decided that the QS has no practical purpose other than being in my collection. Therefore, to diversify my collection, I have decided to PC one of the QS to Venture one.

Thanks for all your opinion!

Maybe if you were doing a PC to the Venture it would be worth it if you travel since it's a essentially a 2% travel rewards redemption but since that doesn't interest you you get slightly better earnings with the QS even if you have a duplicate so to speak. One thing to consider is maybe perhaps doing a combination and transferring over the limit of one QS to another and closing the account. I myself I've kept my two QS cards only because one of them is my oldest card so I don't know what your credit situation is to see if that's even an option you want to consider.

Re: Should I PC QS to Venture One?

No you shouldn't. The QS gives 1.5% cash back while the Venture One gives only 1.25% back and is only redemable for travel.

I don't understand. How so?

I don't consider combining and closing an account a benefit. I don't have problems keeping track of cards.

I have two Quicksilver Capital One cards. Even if I PC one of them to Venture One, I'll still have a QS card remaining with 1.5% cash back.

Re: Should I PC QS to Venture One?

The way I see it there's no reason to change it unless you want to since the option you want to change it to serves no purpose for your needs it seems like.

Doesn't make a difference. Two 1.5% cash back cards are better than one 1.5% cash back and one 1.25% travel credit.

I don't understand this as I, as you can see in my signature, use my Citi Double Cash Back card for 2% cash back and currently, I use my Discover for 5% cash back when dinning out. I am thinking about PC one of my QS to Venture One to reduce redundancy.

And I don't understand why someone would turn a 1.5% cash back card into a 1.25% travel credit card. I understand not wanting two of the same card, but what's the point of you having the VentureOne? Why do you want that card?

If that's the case then SD them? I don't understand the want of PCing if you're not even gonna use the card(s). Like ALK11 said better to have 2 QS cards than PCing one to an inferior card.
