Should I Pull the Trigger on an Amex App?

The only problem I see that could potentially be a problem is if your were to app for an AmEx Charge Card, they are known to sometimes pull TU as well, not for everyone, but I have read many posts where they have, and I'm one of those (AmeX pulled EX and TU when I apped for the PR Gold).

But if you're going for one of AmEx's revolvers, I'd say you should have no problems.

Thanks for the advice all. I went ahead and apped yesterday and got the instant approval for the BCP. CL is $7300 . . . Matched my existing citi card limit. I also wanted a travel rewards card, so I went for the Chase Sapphire Preferred and got an instant approval with a $10K limit. I took the chance since it seems like Chase also pulls mostly EX; I'm just glad it worked out. I'm not sure yet which bureau was pulled for either app but I'll update this with that info.
