Hmm. To OP, I highly recommend waiting 3 months or so since you were denied on the phone. Online will probably just be a waste of an inquiry.
Chase has been very good to me. When the analyst called me when I was first approved she tried to offer $7000 and I was able to talk her up to $10,000 on the phone. 3 weeks later I CLI'd to $15,000. Recently I decided to apply for the Chase PerfectCard, with a CL of $3500. The APR was 19.99 and they wouldn't lower it, so I combined it into my Freedom Visa for a grand total of $18,500.
Last January I couldn't get more than $300 from HSBC and $500 from Capital One. Now, I pick and choose!
