I just got the Amex denial today too, still stings

Sorry to hear about your denial. I'm still waiting- not too patiently I might add. I've been checking the app status all day and it still says in progress. They did another hard pull on my Experian yesterday - which is good. They will see that there is no Chapter 13 on there. I can't figure out what is taking so long now. When I applied online I got an instant denial. Did I mention I hate waiting? Fingers crossed.

I keep checking the online account status and it still says in progress. So two nights ago, I called the number to check on account approval status and a guy told me I was denied (he says the night I called in to report that I checked my EX report and that there was no BK and faxed the report to them.) So if he is to be believed, they denied my recon attempt even though the day after I saw a new HP on my EX report. Geez! I'm too heartbroken to call back to see if the guy knew what he was talking about or not. I guess I will keep checking the online status that reads "in progress' and hope for a miracle.
Has anyone had the "in progress" show online when you knew for sure you were declined? Thanks to all of you!
