I finally convinced myself to go for it.  I'd been reading threads on this card for a couple months.  My score had climbed to 687 ex and been holding steady for about 3 weeks. Only 7 inquiries(all over 6 months old expcept 1 in sept) and util around 18%.   Several baddies but all over 4 yrs old.   So I thought I was good.  Hit apply, got 7-10 day message.  Dang it.  Is there any chance of a recon once letter gets here.  Thought for sure I'd get this one.

As a sidenote, twice I got approved with Amex cards when I received the 7-10 message. So there's always hope. Good luck.
