So I hit the Walmart Increase Button

I haven't used my Walmart Discover card in over three months and decided to hit the increase button out of curiosity and to my surprise went from 1,800 to 4,300. Do I dare try and hit it again to see what happens? I'm thinking my new Mortgage might have something to do with the big increase but maybe I'm wrong.

GE's systems tend to give you the maximum allowable limit increase based on the income that you state in the request. For more, you'll probably have to call in and speak to a CSR.

@Elcid89: does that statement apply to CareCredit accounts as well?

I don't have a CareCredit account, but to my knowledge you have to call in to their automated number and process a CLI through that. There is no luv button on the CC website, and AFAIK you have to specify a requested increase amount for Carecredit in addition to stating income.

I would imagine that the underlying system logic works the same though. It will have identified a threshhold which you are eligible to increase to, and will automatically give you that upon request if you are eligible. AFAIK it is still a SP or works off of the last SP that GECRB has pulled for you.

For that one, I would just request a 100% increase and see what it does. Worst case it denies and you are no worse off than you were before you asked. It may counter or give you the opportunity to transfer to a person for further review.

Got to luv GE when it comes to CLI's

Wooo Hooo

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
