So as I sit here...

shaking my head in disbelief while listening and browsing this forum, I can't help but wonder what others would think...

My GF is on the phone with her best friend whose mother applied for 3 credit cards and maxed each of them out with a total of 33K, IN HER DAUGHTERS NAME! I don't think this is the first time she has screwed her daughter over either and she is still not willing to do anything about it. I know it's her mom, but cmon!

Have a beer and watch the game. Only a fool comes between a mother and daughter. Especially if you aren't married. Best free advice you'll ever get. You might want to think about never combining finances widdat one.

Re: So as I sit here...

ha ha ha h... widdat one... funny! But that is totally sad! I would NEVER do that to my kids and my mom would never even think of it. My mom co- signed for a car for me and I had two 30 day lates and felt my absolute lowest of pond scum still to this date. I have never asked for any help since even in 2003 when my PG AND E was shut off and I had to come up with 1000 to get it turned back on!

Smiley Surprised !

Well, if GF's best friend isn't going to file a police report on her mom (and I understand), she needs to freeze all three of her reports NOW. (If you can do that without a police report, but I think that you can.)

Meanwhile, she can't even dispute as "not mine", because I think that she'd have to have a police report on file. That is so sad.

Re: So as I sit here...

I guess i'll add that it was all lost at Foxwoods casino.... For piece of mind I was hoping it was for a life supply of groceries.

What would freezing the account do? I assume preventing others from viewing while things get sorted out (even tho its likely they never will)?

edit: I really need to start remembering to click the 'auto convert carriage' checkbox.

I think it was Yogi who said when you come to the fork in the road take it. Foxwood eh? Should have at least gotten Manhattan Island for 33K. Smiley Happy
