So how many recently opened accounts does Chase frown upon

when trying to open a card with them?  My GF has their freedom, a capital one card, belk, and victoria secret.  she wants to apply for the Sapphire.  Her FICO is in the mid 700s. (i'm jelly)

Their new policy from what I have been reading is if you have opened more than 5 new accounts in the last 2 years and you are not auto approved for their card there is no recon.

No. But she went behind my back and applied.  Got approved for 5k with a score of 742 and 45k salary.  I always joke with her saying i wish we could use your credit and my salary, haha. Her oldest account is almost 2 years.

Except that they don't always stick to the policy. I have 7 new accounts in the last two years, got denied online, reconned, and got approved.
