Something interesting/weird happened. ( AMEX auto CLI ?!)

So I got my AMEX blue preferred this year. 

They gave me a stupid SL of $2000. 

This june, I request online to increase to $6000 which was approved.

But today I received a letter from AMEX that effective immediately my new CL is $20k. 

What?!?!?!?!?  I DIDNT EVEN ASK FOR AN INCREASE. and I already ask for $6k last month. Holy. Weird..... Explanations ?

Take it and be happy...I suppose. Banks are in the business to encourage you to buy buy buy. That's how I see it. There's nothing happy about debt at all.

Yea. But $6k to $20k. That's more than the 3X CLI that Amex is known for.

In my mind it's a trap to get you to spend, hopefully more than you usually would if you had to spend real cash.

Luckily...this is my second go round I barely use them my CC's and they are all linked to my checking and sav. ....my fear is if I don't spend enough they may freeze them😐

You have any other AMEX acc. ...amex my only CC i PIF,reading on here though I heard I should start pif on my Chase CC ???

I have AMEX plat. You should PIF on everything.
