How many inq's in the past year? Is the derog a late, CO, CA?

The derog is a CO.  It doesn't report monthly though.

IMHO wait a couple more months I know you want the cards now but let your scores increase just a little bit more and I believe you stand a better chance of approval

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I agree with myjourney. You can increase your odds of approval with decent limits if you let your scores increase a bit.

Re: Stepping out of the garden, need suggestions

With your scores, I'd suggest waiting longer for the new applications. Why not try to get your current cards higher limits with soft pulls CLI requests instead?

You'd probably have more luck with your current cards and if you get denied for increases, 1. You're not wasting HPs and 2. You'll know if new apps are likely to get denied.

Starting Score: 09/2012 635 EXP [myFICO]

Seconded! Try the SP CLI first and then go for the new apps if you need to.

The only card I would want an increase on is the Bank of america card and that is 99% of the time a hard pull.

Re: Stepping out of the garden, need suggestions

I just updated my TU and I'm now sitting at 694!

After seeing that I'm going to hold off on apping for a few more months.
