Not true. I get 5% off everytime I use my Lowes card. Doesn't matter if it's $5 or $500.

According to this it is 5% off of any purchase or for purchases over $299, you can choose the option to take 6 months no interest financing. Maybe that is what the $300 requirement is referring to.

well kick me in the butt. I thought I was giving sound advice. I actually decided not to app for this card thinking you had to spend $299+ to get the 5% back. I think I will reconsider apping. sorry bout that.

Well, I all know, is when I shop there, and I shop there alot, they discount my purchases no matter the amount, unless I go the 6 or 12 month 0% route in which case they don't give me the discount.

ETA: Although I never really paid much attention to the receipt, I did however, notice the prices discounted without giving it much thought. Im looking at a recent receipt with 4 items. It seems the discount varies. For example:
Item #1- 11.55- 57 cents off= 10.98- 5%
#2- 19.98- 1.00 off= 18.98- 5%
#3- 5.18- No discount
#4- 5.12- 26 cents off= 4.86- 5%
So I guess some items are not discounted at all. I will have to look at additional receipts.
Yeah I work at Target and you get 5% off the total amount by using either the Target Visa credit card or using a Target debit card.
I reccomend the debit card to anyone iffy about getting a new CC. You get to enjoy the 5% off and it takes it right out of your checking account. No hidden fees or nothing. All you need is a voided check and 5 minutes of your time, go to any checklane and ask to apply for one.
