Successful Product Change to Citi Double Cash

So, I was hesitant to post in the approval forum, as it is really not a "NEW" app per se,

The Diamond Preferred was kinda meh, after running out of the nice 0% Balance Transfer Period.

I Can Benifit Much More From a 2% Double Cash card. (1% on Purchase, 1% on payment or paydown)

Really No DP's other than, used it to The Limit in a 25Day cycle and carried a balance transfer for around 12 Months I believe.

Always payed On Time. usually paid a little more than the Minimum Payment.

Also They Kept The Same Account# and History. (1st Question I asked)

Auto Pay set up on ALL My Cards, just in case i goof.

Product Change was today, 1 Year Anniversary. as Citibank will NOT allow 1 day Before a Year. (I tried yesterday)

Today Was Success.

I am stuck with my simplicity card which can't be PCd. So it is virtually worthless,  I used the BT when I first got the card and that is all it was good for.

Re: Successful Product Change to Citi Double Cash

Citi allowed me to combine my Simplicity with my DC and close the Simplicity.

I would check again, as I do think you can get a product change on The simplicity Card. Call and ask another CSR,

if you get no where ask for a Senior CSR or Manager/Supervisor.

I remember reading a Thread on this a while back.

I believe it can be done. Get To The Executive office if need be.

I know you can get things done at that level, not possible with front line Reps.

Re: Successful Product Change to Citi Double Cash

Getting a Citi CSR that knows how to PC one card to another is hit and miss. If you get someone that says it can't be done, either escalate the call or hang up and call back until you get a CSR that knows how to do it
