Surge / Verve / Matrix / Cont Finance - Had one of these?

I thought I'd add, for anyone else who's still curious out there, I have one of these cards and they do give cli increases. I had my card probably 18 mos. already when I happened to ask about it during an unrelated customer service call. I was told that after a year I was eligible but apparently you have to ask. There was no fee associated with it but it was only for  $125.

I agree get rid of the junk cards. Save you money also.

YUP! I just closed mine a few weeks ago. I had the Verve. I actively sought them! You gotta do what you gotta do! I was looking to rebuild and , hey - it's a CREDIT CARD. not the best terms or even decent, but it met the need ti was to meet.

They start you off with $500 and you have to pay all of these upfront fees + an AF + a monthly fee.

In order to qualify for a CLI, you have to have had the card in good standing for 12 months.
I requested a CLI in October, and they raised me up $125 to $625.00.

I don't recommend the "shark" cards.   If I had to do it all over again, I would have saved up money and got a secured card.   At least I would have got money back instead of wasting it on exorbitant AFs.   My "shark card" was Credit One, so I have no direct experience with these cards.
