Surprised by intial CL

So I was shopping at Target with the fam and decided to app for the credit card. From reading this forum as well as others Target/td bank gives out small opening CLs. I knew I would get approved but was expecting anywhere from $200-$500. I surprised when the cashier told me $1000, not complaining I'll take that lol. Anyone else get an intial CL higher than the norm?

1K isn't bad but with the bank switch i'd imagine they are changing thier ways some to attract new cardmembers!

I was approved for 1500 dollars! I was shock because they only give small credit limits !!
