Sync PayPal MasterCard CL Decrease 10K>1K

I logged into my PayPal account and Sync lowered my credit limit from 10k to 1028! How random of a number -_-

Sync loves random #s. Could you please add more details here please. How many Sync cards do you have? How much exposure? Current credit situation? Fico scores? How much do you use it? Balance / balances. There are many reasons a cld can happen,  coronavirus not related. Thanks and sorry.

Ugh that sucks. I'm so sorry. I legit just checked my account to make it didn't happen to me too. As Joe mentioned, if you have any DPs, that would be most appreciated.

That 1028 happens when you haven't used the card for awhile and appears to be an automatic feature. I have had that happen a few times over the years. Normally I just go to the credit limit increase page, fill in the usual info, and it restores my limit instantly back to what it always was.

I haven't used the card in a year and a half. All my Sync cards are in my signature - 5 open cards plus closed Walmart MC. 780s/90s for Fico 8. 4% Total card util (7,525/195,824). No baddies.

💳Shutting down inactive cards has happened to me numerous times with Synchrony AND Comenity 🥴. The good thing is when reopened (via a new application), its usually for TWICE as much! LOL. It is hard to use a credit card just to keep it open. With $100K+ in credit, I refuse. Some, i didn't bother to re-apply as it only would serve to lower my AAoA and increase # of inquiries. Just a heads up; I never miss and I'm never late but it did seem to occur when my overall utility across the board was over 30%. I just recently started paying attention to that 😁.
