Well, for one, it would probably have access to the Synchrony mobile app (vs no mobile app on PPMC).
Also, there seems to be no language about FTF. If it charges FTF, then that's another important difference.
I would assume this is the same card they offered to Toys R Us MasterCard holders and that had no FTF but definitely something to look out for.

Actual cashback with paypal
Yup, I like the flexibility of the cashback redemption. The app is not a driver for me since redeeming via PayPal is fairly easy for my needs.

I concur. I log in, I pay, I leave. Redeem my cash to PayPal, transfer to savings or let it sit. Don't need app benefits like alerts because Google pay will alert me if it's used.

Wait... How is this possible? Only AMEX has this ability for me. The "Show All Purchases (include purchases not made with Google Pay)" checkbox is showing on all my AMEX cards but not on PayPal. And I have checked this with all my cards.

It works for all of my cards. The only thing that won't alert me is a purchase using my PayPal account, unless I'm using my ppmc for the PayPal purchase. Then, I'll get the card alert.
EDIT: just remembered that my mission Visa doesn't work with Google pay.
I got the same letter to @13.99 .. That's what they are offering. Went to the site filled in all the codes and info and 13.99 apr is what it is.. Never pulled the trigger I have enough credit and never carry a big balance anyway... Not to the point of, if I can't pay off if something bad happened to me. Finally got my scores in the 800's and want to stay there.
I heard about this card on DoC, it seems like after Toys R' Us went out of business they (Synchrony) converted cardholders of their store card to this card.

@Anonymous wrote:Oh I hope they send me that offer. That one actually can be managed with their app!
They can send it to me next year so I stay in the garden.
My offer is good until the second week in November, so I'm going to put it on the maybe pile. I'm trying not to get anymore sync cards, but I really hate the PayPal app set up, so a replacement 2% card would be nice.

It's not true cash back, as I'm sure someone has noticed by now. I think the cash back statement is deceptive, since you can't actually deposit that money into an outside account.
