A friend asked me what I thought of this card, so I looked into it a bit to see who and what accepted it in his neck of the woods...
The 7-11 doesn't have fuel, but I kinda get because they code as service stations for some reason, but.... a donut shop?

Or you can use the donuts to ease the pain of the car expenses while the car is being worked on

Donuts be round... like tires...
Eat enough of them and you'll get a spare tire!
I have done some detective work to crack the mystery of the Maple Leaf Doughnuts. Apparently, their address is very, very similar to an actual auto repair shop. If you head less than half a mile south on South Winchester Blvd from the donut shop, you will wind up at All Auto & Truck Specialists. I wonder how many people try to get an oil change and wind up getting glazed donuts?
Anyway, I suspect that the Car Credit database is address-driven and thus somehow believed that a donut shop accepted their card. But, heck, I dunno. Try using the card at the donut shop and see what happens.
This card has been sitting in my SD and I keep getting emails encouraging me to use and reminding me I can purchase fuel with it. I use my USAA Amex for fuel for the 5% rewards. My question, can I purchase fuel gift cards at the gas station instead of actually buying gas with this card. If so, would it be frowned upon by Synchrony? Thinking of buying a couple as Christmas gifts.

Not sure if you can purchase gift cards with it. My opinion, if you have a card that already earns 5% in rewards why bother purchasing gift cards with a card that doesn't offer anything outside of special financing if you spend a certain amount? If you're just wanting to keep the card active then buy a cup of coffee or a soda and leave it at that. No need to waste rewards on gift cards when buying a drink will serve the same purpose.

Thanks for the suggestion. I got the card to use for an automotive repair. At this point there is nothing else I actually need it for. Guess an occasional soda will keep it active enough in case there is a need in the future.
