Synchrony PayPal 2% CB highest limit?

Just curious what some of the higher limits are on this card; mine started at $3000 and in less than a year I’ve gotten that to $10,000. Was wondering if I should expect to hit a plateau or not; my scores are in the 730’s now but should be in the 750s soon as I’m gardening and having inquiries age off.
Kind of have everything I want now, creditwise. Undeliberately gardening until I have some spending to do and find a 100,000 Amex Platinum offer lol

Started my credit journey August 2016, after abstaining from credit for years after some poor financial choices in high school. Started with scores in the 580s. Current scores 11/6/18 - EQ: 754 TU: 757 EX: 743

Re: Synchrony PayPal 2% CB highest limit?

I've been meaning to ask the same. I actually started at $10k in December, and still there. I've asked 4 times for a CLI and got denied every time. First 3 denials were for "insufficient experience at credit level" or something like that. Last denial, "Amount requested exceeds policy for credit increases" or something along those lines. I requested $25k as usual, so that last denial is kinda bogus because Synch usually counters with a lower CLI if your request is too high. I mean, I've asked $30k on their Amazon card, and got a $600 CLI instead.

I'm curious where others stand with this card too.

I am at 6200 and started there. Only had it for about 2 months so I have not requested any CLI yet. I probaly wont until I am at 6 months. I have another SYNC card ( Amazon ) AT 5000. So I think they will take that into consideation too???

Re: Synchrony PayPal 2% CB highest limit?

As of today this card doesn't go beyond 10K

I started at 3k and now sitting at 10k and once synchrony send denial reason "policy bla bla" it means that's as good as gets.

At least for now.

Thanks,

Do you mean it doesn't go beyond 10k for you or in general? I recall at least one person stating they got an increase to $12k.

I meant to say for everyone.

If you can copy the thread with the person having over 10K on that card that would be helpful.

This is the one person I was talking about... http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Approvals/PayPal-2-MC-CLI-finally/m-p/5219285

Did you speak to anyone at Synch about that $10k limit on this card? How did you come to that conclusion?

Re: Synchrony PayPal 2% CB highest limit?

The last reply in the topic you posted explains it a little.

I requested over 10K and was denied for same reason as topic author. When I called to ask about that they said that each card has an internal limit.

It's like maxing your Express limit with comenity at this point they won't grant you anymore because its card policy.

The data point you posted is fairly new and not sure if its new policy for the card or it had to go through an analyst.

If you are able to bypass 10K through the luv button let us know.

I'll be trying again at the 6 month mark. I figured the first 3 denials were because I'd asked too soon. I've only had the card for 4 months or so. The last denial did have me wondering...

I can see some store cards having an internal limit. There's so much you can buy at Express or Bath & Body Works, etc. But a card with a MC logo that can be used anywhere shouldn't be limited to $10k. Not that $10k is chump change, but their Lowe's card can grow to $35k plus. The Amazon card also goes way beyond $10k.
