.

I do think that you mean well, and that you don't mean to make fun of someone, but could we try another name for this post? You can edit your title. If we can rename it, I'm happy to join. Well, except for that mahogany flooring headed to my house! drool, drool Message Edited by TheNewWorldMan on 11-13-2007 07:29 PM

* Credit is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master. * Who's the boss --you or your credit?

Re: .

OK, now we need ANOTHER title change. Surely we're not supporting super-high utilization? Smiley Very Happy Kind of a mouthful, too...

Thanks to my local Credit Union I have got to the stage where if I have super high utilization I am up manure creek without a paddle.  Smiley Very Happy

Re: The SuperHigh Utilization Support Center

Hmm, this can be a scary title.

"The SuperHigh Utilization Support Center"

If one is new or rebuilding credit, this maybe difficult to avoid. But if one has CL of over $100K, then just 20% util is scary. At least to me. Smiley Happy

Too, too subjective. Smiley Very Happy

I think many of us would be M.V.

How many people here have had their cc's closed/cancelled by a consistent to high utils?
I've heard it happens, and I'm amazed it's not happened to me in the past.

Re: .

In all honesty it has been the last year or so that I have came to the frame of mind that all money is not to be spent and all ccs are not meant to be maxed out.  I'm suprised all of mine didnt close on me for high util.  We lived way above our means.  I am actually proud to say that my ccs are abt 2-4% util each mth.  Credit is a privilege that one must learn to manage.  Tks Vicki

Vicki, sounds like we traveled the same road. I can say exactly the same. It was a bitter pill for me to swallow to learn that credit is a delicate priviledge, and not a birthright. Smiley Wink

For one and only one month, I tried to get 1% to post on my $30K card. I was just appalled when I looked over the statement to see what I had charged. If USAA ever reviews it, they will probably have me committed.

I do look at the highest balance figures on my CR's and shudder. I was using my two bank cards for college tuition and cheerfully carrying 90% of the credit limit without it even crossing my mind that it might not be too cool of an idea. That was before a tenth of my income went to FICO score pulls, and I just didn't know any better.
