Lenders like to see a lot of tradelines so does the fico score model.So opening to many trades at once reducec the score temporary for 3 months then it goes  up 50% after 6 months total rebunds 100% plus 60% for the number of the trade lines.Dont listen to some ppl telling you dont apply for to many cred cards.YOU need to show lenders u can handle high capacity credit limits and number of accounts

Citi has been pretty good to me.  I have the Citi AAdvantage AMEX with a CL of 9500.00.  Citi also threw in 0% on BT and purchases for 12 months.  I love the fact that you can just have cash deposited into your bank account as a BT with 0% promotional interest.  That's pretty darned good!!

It seems to me that banks make decisions based on perceived risk. There is something in your credit report, perhaps inquiries perhaps something else, that obviously is viewed as a risk by citi. It doesnt mean that the company is wrong or evil or has a personal vendetta, they are just operating within their mormal risk parameters.
