Thinking about cancelling pottery barn comenity card

I got this card last year hoping to use the rewards. Ended up not using the rewards and got a bit delinquent in payment. Haven't used it for a year now. I have no interest in using it moving forward. Shoud I close it off? I am trying to improve my credit score and I really don't need this card.

Thanks

Edit:

Hi,

Below is my profile.

FICo scores

Equifax 696, Transunion 645, Experian 650

Available credit limits

BofA Cash Rewards $15,000

BofA Travel Rewards $20,500

Old Navy $200

Pottery Barn Comenity $750

Mortgage $246,623

No delinquencies in mortgage and BofA cards. Delinquencies in Old Navy and Pottery Barn. No debt other than the mortgage.

My goal is to improve my scores, as I am thinking about buiyng another house using mortgage.

Thanks

It will continue to report for up to 10 years if you close it.

Do you know your FICO scores? If you have low scores and high utilization, you might want to keep every dollar of available credit you can.

On the other hand, if you already have reasonably good scores and not much debt, it might be simpler to drop it.

Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select

Welcome to the forumSmiley Happy

First, definetly try to avoid making late payments, thats the #1 cardinal rule of credit. Without knowing your profile , score, available credit limits its hard to offer advice on keeping or closing. Just remember a cc is only as good as you make it and should fit your spend lifestyle. Knowing Comenity, im suprised they havent closed the account for late payments but the can suprise us. Please let us know more about your profile to give better advice. Again, welcome and thanks for participating in the forumSmiley Happy
